Founded in 1843, Grapevine is the oldest settlement in Tarrant County and has flourished into a thriving city full of interest. It has an unusually active downtown center. The storefronts are filled with unique boutiques and restaurants, featuring regional business owners, western wear, local jewelry and gourmet foods. The streets are always busy, drawing in a wide variety of locals and tourists. Annual events, such as Grapefest and Main Street Days close down the streets for pedestrians to stroll and people-watch as they visit the local vendors. Grapevine is also known for its local wineries, shopping at Grapevine Mills Mall and resort at Great Wolf Lodge. It is an active and prosperous community and its residents are proud to be a part of the city known as the Christmas Capital of Texas. We also love working with our friendly professional clients in Grapevine. It is a city and suburb of Dallas and Ft Worth, located in Northeast Tarrant County, neighboring Colleyville and adjacent to the DFW Airport.
Since Grapevine is so close to all our homes, we find it a quick and easy commute. Most of the homes were built in the 1980-1990’s and the bedroom community has an active historic downtown, drawing in the locals. The community sits on Lake Grapevine and pulls in tourists for boating and swimming. It has a wonderful balance between small and large business and entertainment and tourism. For a fun trip, take a look at Grapevine Vintage Railroad. It follows a historic route between Grapevine and the Fort Worth Stockyards.
LoneStar works with many Grapevine residents and we love showing off our projects. Take a look at just a few recent kitchen and bathroom remodels in Grapevine.
The first picture features a stylish, transitional kitchen with professional style stainless steel appliances perfect for cooking and baking. These homeowners love to cook and wanted a more updated kitchen with all the amenities, including adding a gasline for their new cooktop. Cabinets above the cooktop were removed to allow a new chimney vent while a new space above the oven was created to house the microwave. White painted cabinets are offset with a warm grey tumbled travertine backsplash, exotic quartzite countertops and a dark grey painted island.
When our team at LoneStar Design Build assist you in the design and planning process for your remodel, you will find a very thorough review of your project, with in-depth planning and detail. You may need drawings for a new layout, and the rendering will provide the visual effects of your final project. We enjoy bringing the creative side to life- whether you’re renovating a bathroom, a kitchen or your entire home.
In this next image, we show a unique galley kitchen with numerous paired elements such as the two-toned painted cabinets with quartz countertops on the sink wall and butcher block countertops on the cooktop wall, all creating a mid-century modern feel. A partial wall was removed, opening the kitchen to the living room. We placed stained floating shelving over the Moroccan tiled backsplash, allowing for open storage instead of cabinets to showcase the custom pattern backsplash.
The next two photos show unique and different Grapevine bathrooms. The first is a transitional master bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Removing a tub allowed for a new linen cabinet with laundry pull-outs and ample storage space for sheets and towels. Inspired by nature, the granite countertops, stone-look tile and rich cabinet stain color work together to bring the outdoors in.
The second photo displays a sleek and modern master bath with gorgeous furniture-finish cabinets complete with a tower for storage and a pull-out for toiletries. The dark espresso stain contrasts nicely next to neutral, light concrete look tiles and a light quartz countertop. The large soaking tub and spacious shower are additional elements that add to the overall relaxing and spa-like feel this bathroom has.
As you can see, we enjoy our many diverse clients and requests. We love working in the city of Grapevine, designing and building for a wide range of clients. We realize every project is different, depending on size, selections and client desires. LoneStar Design Build will customize every project according to our client’s needs and wish list.

“We highly recommend LoneStar Design Build! Kathi and Don are so pleasant to work with, as is their staff. We love the design Megan helped us create. We remodeled half of our downstairs level, including the kitchen, so our project took quite a bit of time. The work done is top-notch and just looks beautiful! Kathi and Susan worked with us along the way on the schedule, and on making sure every step met our expectations. The result ended up being exactly what we wanted. We received quality service and product. First-class company!”

“It was great working with Kathi, Don and Megan. They are all helpful and courteous and will come if we had an issue. Susan, the new construction manager, is good and keeps up well with everything. It took them time to complete the remodeling but it’s a job well done and we are enjoying our new bathrooms.”

“Two things people want to know from someone who has just remodeled are, would you recommend this company to your friends and would you use this company again. Yes to both questions. We’ve even had strangers who were thinking about remodeling with LoneStar come see for themselves what a fantastic job LoneStar did for us. LoneStar remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago and we were so impressed with the quality of work they provided we had them remodel the outside of the house, a complete remodel of the inside and even had them remodel our existing patio as well as add a new patio to the side of the house. We would not hesitate to recommend LoneStar to anyone for any of their remodeling projects.”
