The city of Flower Mound is a fun and favorite place for LoneStar to meet and assist our clients. Most of the homes were built in the 1980-1990’s, needing updates. Our clients tend to be busy professionals and business owners. They feel a bit overwhelmed with all the decisions and don’t have time to run all over town, picking out their products. Our design and planning process with a turn-key approach fits with their lifestyle. We enjoy working with our clients in Flower Mound, creating individual and unique projects.
The city of Flower Mound is settled in both Tarrant and Denton counties. With the city adjacent to Grapevine Lake, it’s home to many parks and marinas. Although the city became incorporated in 1961, it wasn’t until the DFW Airport opened in 1974 that the city’s population increased substantially.
Between 1980-2002, Flower Mound was one of the fastest growing municipalities in the United States. It has become a wonderful city for homeowners to raise their families and today continues with controlled growth in central and western parts of the city.
The picture on top shows a Flower Mound bathroom that was taken from outdated to classy and contemporary. White dimensional tile continues from the shower and across the wall behind the tub, creating a unique focal wall. Grey flooring and grey painted cabinets contrast nicely with the chrome fixtures, stainless mosaic and crystal accents.
Our clients couldn’t be happier with their dramatic update!

“We completed a kitchen improvement project with Kathi and Don and couldn’t be happier with the results. We knew we wanted to open up the area to provide a more open space and inclusive of the living area but our vision was half-baked at best. Kathi listened and took our idea and made into a reality that we would never have envisioned. She is very creative, attentive, and collaborative, she really put us at ease and we quickly put our trust into their ideas.
Don is the other half of the team and someone who really takes pride in his work. Don and Kathi surround themselves with sub-contractors who have the same values they share, quality and care. The sub-contractors were dependable, very skilled and always friendly and respectful. You can tell they have forged relationships with skilled people who do what they say they will and when they say they will. No matter what work took place, at the end of each day they did an outstanding job cleaning up and leaving things as clean as they could be and that certainly makes a difference when a project takes months.
From a cost and budget perspective, Kathi was very respectful and conscientious to ALWAYS ensure that we understood where our choices would impact the overall cost. If we fell in love with one product, she helped us find ways to compensate. Throughout the project Kathi would bring an updated cost status – something that was always up to date and included various details that we might have changed throughout the process. With a major renovation like ours, it is inevitable that the plan (and cost) changes as things come together and various “unknowns” come into view. This is where it is very important to have that level of trust – Kathi and Don are outstanding in their level of honesty, fairness and integrity. They might not always bring good news, but they will be up front and honest with every detail.
We have had several gatherings at our house since the remodel and people can’t believe it’s the same house and love the detail of work that LoneStar provided. We would recommend LoneStar to anyone looking to do a home improvement project. We know the next project we do will only be done by Kathi and Don because we trust them and they deliver on what they say they will do and more importantly will help us form our vision into reality.”
